Ellie graduated with her Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Texas Christian University in 2021. She moved to Santa Barbara without knowing much about the city, but soon discovered there is no place she would rather live–the people are wonderful, the climate is perfect, and she gets to enjoy both the beach and the mountains.
Favorite Santa Barbara weekend activity: Hiking, running, walking— as long as I am outside taking in the natural beauty and wonder of Santa Barbara, I am happy!
I eat too much at: Natural Cafe and McConnell’s Ice Cream
You can find me walking on: Butterfly Beach, Mesa Lane Beach, Hendry’s Beach…I love beach walks, and Santa Barbara has so many great options.
My favorite local wine/beer is: I don’t have a favorite drink, but enjoy going to places with great outdoor seating and live music
Best trip I’ve ever taken: Maui, Hawaii. My brother-in-law grew up on the island, so he was able to give my sisters and I a real “local” experience and take us to waterfalls and places that aren’t typical tourist spots.
